New First-Year Seminar Application Form

Thank you for your interest in teaching a First-Year Seminar at KU!

This form is for faculty who are new to the First-Year Seminar Program, or for returning faculty who would like to propose a new topic for a First-Year Seminar.  If you are a facutly member who has already taught a First-Year Seminar and would like to teach the same seminar again, fill out the Returning Instructor Form.

To apply to teach a new First-Year Seminar, you should:

  1. Review the seminar requirements and instructor expectations for First-Year Seminars.
  2. Talk with your chair about the feasibility of teaching a seminar and ask them to fill out the Chair Endorsement Form.
  3. Submit the application form below.

The deadline to submit an application to teach a Fall 2022 First-Year Seminar is Friday, November 5, 2021.
